I’m not highly experienced businesswoman, but hey, there’s a start for everything!I started my internet business via blogspot in July 2009. This blogshop grew from my passion in photography and it is still growing! Thus, I find that it is also a good opportunity to meet new people and getting new subjects for my photography. Here’s five basic tips to increase traffic and sales to your shop:
You might wanna get known by other people first before starting your business. They are your potential customers.As example, you can make friends via your personal blog. Potential customers usually like to buy from people they already knew. It is kinda of ‘trust’ thingy.Other ways to build networks are by joining forums or be a member of a certain blogger groups (like MomBloggersPlanet! hihi) .
Show off photos of your skills/ end-products / item on sale in your blog. Potential customers would like to see that before engaging orders themselves. A good testimonial also helps a lot! You can get the testimonials from email or comments in you blog!( p/s: testimonial are another hard-proof that potential customers seek if they do not know you)
Promotion/ Contest/ Free gift/Giveaway!
Who don’t like gifts and freebies?I do! By organizing a contest or give away, potential customers would come to recognize your blog and might recommend yours to others! Freebies eg. free RM20 voucher for each purchase or free baby toy with purchase of RM50 and above and promotion, eg. 50% less for this new product , also make your blogshop likeable by customers!Remember MORE TRAFFIC = MORE POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS!
