Last Thursday, I attended the media briefing for the launching of Astro TVIQ Kids Go Green campaign at Marmalade Cafe, Bangsar Village II. Besides the press representatives from major newspapers, I think I was the only blogging media that day. I also brought along my dear daughter, Izzah. 
We are celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day this coming April 22nd 2010. So, in spirit of protecting and conserving our environment during the Earth Day, ASTRO TVIQ is launching a campaign titled Kids Go Green.
Kids Go Green is a line up of on-air content and on ground workshops designed to educate kids to on the importance of loving the world and inspire them to get involved in environmental conservation. At the same time, kids are also encouraged to spread the message to friends and family. 
Astro TVIQ’s on-ground workshop will tour selected schools to promote Creative Thinking and the dynamic of working as a team to preserve the environment.
The event started with a yummy refreshments such as healthy finger sandwiches and spaghetti carbonara.
Then, TVIQ Channel Manager, Sharifah Noraidah elaborated on Kids go Green with introduction to Project Earth, Content Line Up and Project Earth Workshop.
Two members of Kids for Earth, Isaac Lee and Gautam Jethwani were there to present “Billy the Plastic Bag” story.
Kids for Earth is a group of school students united by the common goal of motivating those around them to save the environment. They have their own website at KidsForEarthAsia.com where they updates and promotes their go green initiatives.
After the presentation, I took a few pictures with Isaac, Gautam and their supportive parents. Izzah also joined the Kids Go Green campaign by wearing a green top with a flowery crochet hat.

We brought home a red goodie bag from Astro as well.
