Blog with WordPress – Widgets & Extras
WordPress is wonderful with plenty of widgets and plugins. However, plugins are only available with the advanced version in which you need to get your blog hosted.
Let’s play with the widgets first. From the Appearance tab, click Widget. You’ll see a selection of widgets that you can pick to show on your blog sidebar. Widget is equivalent to Gadget in Blogspot.
Just click the Add button and Save Changes.
There is another important thing you should do for your blog. Go to Appearance > Extra.
You’ll see the “Enable Snap Shots on this blog” is ticked. It’s advisable to un-ticked it. Because, your readers would find it annoying to see snapshots evertime they point the cursor on a link.
Honestly, I found the Snap Shot thing so disturbing when I want to read a blog with the feature ticked.
