Brain Cells Connections & Connected Tots

Every baby is born a genius. But, not every baby is given the right stimulation and nutrition to make sure he remains genius from the moment of birth until his first few years.

When I was pregnant, I read a lot about early childhood education and the importance of good nutrients. I even bought some books and flash cards for Izzah when she was still in the womb!

It is amazing to know that some babies can read as early as 3 months old!

Brain Cell Connections

How does a young fragile little baby as young as three months can do such an amazing thing?

There must be something special about the baby… or

There must be something extra the mommy knows that most mommies don’t.

Curiosity killed the cat but it didn’t kill me.

I looked for answer and found something more amazing.

Brain Cell Connections

How many brain cells do we have at birth?

It’s 100 BILLIONS brain cells, people!

Yes. 100 billions brain cells at birth, waiting to be connected.

Brain Cell Connections

Not all brain cells are connected when a baby is born. As our child learns, his or her brain cells will make connections inside the brain.

This simply means that children who learn faster than others have more brain cells connected during their growing up years.

Brain Stimulation for Brain Cell Connections

I know that the more brain cells connect, the faster the learning happens.

So, I started to stimulate my baby’s brain by introducing her to alphabets, numbers, shapes, sounds and colors as early as 3 months old.

Brain Cell Connections

Well, she might not be reading out loud or telling me that she was actually learning.

But, she did show that her brain was making rapid connections from her facial expressions and body languages. That was enough to make me proud!

Brain Cell Connections

Izzah can recognize and read out loud the alphabets from A to Z and the numbers 1 to 15 perfectly when she was 14 months old.

Brain Cell Connections

For me it’s amazing because I learned my ABC when I was seven.

That’s the power of brain cell connections!

Izzah keeps on showing great abilities in learning. She loves stacking blocks as high as she can. Then, destroyed it and laughed out loud.

Brain Cell Connections

Izzah also loves arts – painting and coloring.

Gangliosides for Brain Cell Connections

On top of brain stimulation, I also make sure my daughter gets her best nutrition.

As our child is starting to talk, walk and discover the world around him, he will need all the nutrients he can get to sustain his early child development.

Do you know that the most critical and fastest stage of your child’s brain development begins before birth until his 3rd birthday?

Gangliosides is an important brain nutrient that help brain cells connect for faster learning.

So, it is important to provide our child excellent nutrition and stimulation at this stage.

Connected Tots

Izzah, my daughter is a good example of a connected tot.

She is able to learn and apply what has been learnt into everyday situations. She learned cause and effect, and keeps on experimenting.

For example, she knows she can drink some juice from a plastic cup.

Connected Tot

But can she do the same from a small bottle cap? By experimenting and going through the process of trial and error – she found out that she absolutely can drink from whatever size of a container.

Connected Tot

You see, connected tots are not children who only knows how to memorise their times tables or ABC or spell long, difficult words.

Connected tots are more than just smart kids.

Connected Tot

They build a pool of knowledge by forming connections between things around them.

Connected Tot

hence, ‘Connected’ is the NEW SMART.

Connected Tot

Gangliosides + Stimulation = Brain Cell Connections = Connected Tots

Is your child a connected tot?
