Littlestori Photography was founded by Milin Kassim in 2009.  She truly believes that one of the most wonderful gifts parents can pass onto their children is photographs of their childhood memories.  It all started when Milin had a series of sharing photo albums with her daughter Iffah.

They had been doing this since her child was just a little baby.  Milin could tell how much the photos meant to her little angel when she saw her daughter’s expressions towards their family pictures.  “As if each picture tells a story to her!” said Milin.

Those expressions of her daughter were precious. Happy, thrill, proud, excited and Iffah was even touched especially when she saw pictures of her with mommy and daddy. So Milin thought, if Iffah could appreciate their family photographs at this very early age, those tangible memories would mean even more and be a priceless treasure for her daughter many, many years from now.

Milin’s Photography Journey

Milin had been actively taking pictures since 1999 when she studied in Universiti Sains Malaysia, majoring in Journalism. The final year students were required to come out with a newspaper publication, Berita Kampus. Apart from writing news, Milin’s interest back then was very much into taking pictures, especially of sports events.

She would take any chance to cover sports news so she got to take pictures.  Killing two birds with one stone! Her passion for photography made her considered of having it as a career, but she wasn’t sure of the photography genre she wanted to take.  And of course a few other things happened along the way!

The birth of her daughter Iffah in 2006 rekindled Milin’s passion for photography. The moment she started taking pictures of her little girl, she knew instantly children’s photography is what she love.  Since then she has been actively taking pictures of other children as well.

Taking pictures of other families gives her the chance to share the excitement with other parents, especially moms, of seeing wonderful moments of childhood captured in time.  Finally, as her passion grows stronger, she decided to do it professionally last year.  Milin was also a finalist for KL Photo Award 2009.

Natural Light, Contemporary Styles

Littlestori Photography specializes in natural light, on-location custom photography focusing on children and families. On-location custom photography allows Milin to offer clients a more relaxed, casual and fun environment for a portrait session.

She will not take more than two sessions in a day, allowing her to be more focus on each family, hence giving the photographer more time to explore on her creativity to capture fresh, unique and heartfelt images of family portraits.

Armed with a background in journalism, Milin likes to blend the traditional approach of taking family portraits with the modern, contemporary styles.  Contemporary styles focus more on story-telling, emotions and family relationships.  This concept goes along with Littlestori tagline, “Where every little story of childhood is treasured.”

The journey does not stop there.  After the session, the pictures then will go through editing process.  Each selected image will be post-processed individually, making them into unique pieces of family art.

Littlestori Packages

Littlestori Photography offers three special sessions:  OurLittleStory, LittleAngel and LittleStar.

OurLittleStory - focus on family portraits. Your family moments will be captured while your family is having fun and wonderful times together. The focus is on the entire family, family interactions, and then individual shots of the children.

LittleStar – this mini-session is dedicated to little ones aged two months and above. Perfect if your little star starts having an interest for a hobby.  It could be his excitement towards a guitar, her love for a new pet, his obsession towards cars, or her passion for gardening.

LittleAngel – a newborn session. This package is dedicated for newborn babies, aged between 1 – 14 days old. The most ideal time is when your baby is 7 days and younger. LittleAngel focuses on creating fine art images of your newborn.

There will be more interesting packages to be introduced starting middle of 2010!
