Dear mommies and MBP readers,

I just found a long lost friend whom I last met 18 years ago through a blog. It’s amazing what blog can do, isn’t it?

But, despite the happy feeling of meeting her again (virtually), I got a sad news that her second child is recently diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.

Wan Samihah’s daughter, Shahirah is 10 years old. She is not feeling well with fever, and later diagnosed with “moderately large ASD secundum” by Dr Rosalie Yip of Sunway Medical Center.

Warning – Phishing Email!

I received an email in my Yahoo inbox today. It’s from a phishing website targeting Maybank2u users!

The email said Maybank2u suffered a DDos-Attack on one of it’s Internet Banking server. For security reasons I was asked to complete the steps to verify the integrity of your maybank2u account. Else, my account will be suspended.

The email from address looks real – as if from Maybank. The first link is also the real Maybank2u link. But, the last link where I was asked to log in to the secured verification server and submit the requested information(Account user ID, password and TAC) is a BOGUS …

I started drafting the site concept for MomBloggersPlanet.com about six months ago. And, the initial plan was to go live by December 2008.

But, the plan was not realised. Due to some unforeseen extra office workloads that required me to work extra hours at home, focusing on my personal project is quite impossible.

It was difficult deciding a platform for this website. First, I looked at Joomla. But, I was totally lost with Joomla. It took me weeks to familar myself with it.
