A huge pictorial header and a nuffnang leaderboard ads are the first thing that you see when you visit a blog known as CikPid. The blog’s header is nicely decorate with the owner’s son picture (Afieq Najmie) posing alone as well as with his mama and abah. There is also a picture of the owner on her wedding day.
The header is nice and outstanding but it seems rather too big for a blog. Of course, it’s up to individual to decide but my advise would be – reduce the height of the header.
The owner uses a Blogger Template Style by Lena Toews with two sidebars and a middle content. On the left sidebar you will find an ads (from Nuffnang, I think), list of other bloggers’ update and blog archive. Whereas, on the right sidebar, you’ll see an Innity ads, Nuffnang ads and poll, a photo of her son and his birthday ticker, followers, about me, a shoutbox, a banner, traffic live feed and happy-o-meter.
The layout is a a sky blue background with a black text for the content and white text for the sidebars. I found the black text on the sky blue background a bit heavy on the eyes. Perhaps, the owner can use a lighter pastel color for the background or the best, stick to white background.
Content wise, it don’t seem to be updated on regular basis. The owner writes mostly about her son and her lifestyle. Most blog posts area accompanied by relevant pictures which add meaning to the contents.
This blog scores a 3 star rating out of 5. This blog get an average for content, uniqueness, activity, appearance and navigation. With a little work this blog could become an outstanding representation of a young woman’s plight to motherhood.

Here’s a suggestion of things that I think the ownner could do.
- Posible to create a new header with shorter height. In addition to a nice outstanding header, the next thing a visitor would want to see directly without scrolling down is the title and an excerpt of the current blog post. So, it’s advised to make a nice header in an optimum size – not to big, not too small.
- To improve the navigation, it’s advised to move the blog archive to the top or middle section of any sidebar.
- It would be a good idea to change the background color to a lighter pastel color or white.
- I noticed the owner is having both Nuffnang and Innity ads on her blog. Both are competing with each other, so Nuffnang might already took the Gliterrati status away. Losing Glitterati status means less income from Nuffnang. I think it’s best to decide which ads network to stick on and pick only one.

I rasa kan cikpid.. gambar hubby dan gambar you tu boleh adjust naik atas .. lepas tu gambar your baby tu u tindihkan atas gambar u ngn hubby. Gambar kawen tu pon move up a lil bit. =)
