We, the vogalicious super mom bloggers had a super duper FUN time, roaring and pimping our day with DiGi Internet at One Utama on Saturday, 9th January!

Before experiencing the DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge, I already completed two really tough challenges.

1. surviving through an extremely heavy traffic jam at Damansara toll, and
2. finding a parking spot on the roof top! ha..ha..ha

Oh.. actually it was three pre-event challenges.. if finding a YELLOW t-shirt and shoe laces count! So, please give La Dolce Momma extra points!

Our team, Lyna, Nini, Farah and me managed to gather at Mardi Gras just before the DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge started. We didn’t even get the chance to warm our butt..urgh I mean warm-up!

We were given a cutelicious Digi Broadband USB modem to access the internet and 2.5 hours to complete all tasks.  We were also required to use Facebook to upload some pictures and video as part of the DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge. And, that’s gonna be FUN!!

Each team had their own unique ways of showing off their team spirit. There were teams with customised yellow shirts, paper crowns, Hawaiian hula skirt.. and so on. A team even painted their faces with yellow streak of paint. Cute or crazy? You decide!

How about us?

Well, we had our banner printed on a sticker to stick on our left shirt.. This was our way of delivering a difference. I think it worked because many shoppers can’t help but staring at us and our sticker all afternoon…ha..ha

La Dolce Momma was team number 15 for the DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge at Mardi Gras. Each team was given the same 8 challenges. Difficult? Not at all. Especially when we have a OneUtama’s expert on board.. yes! Kudos to Farah.. muahs!!

1. DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge with It’s a Hit Batting Cages

It’s a Hit Batting Cages was our first challenge of the day. The Batting Cages is located on the Upper Roof (via High Street lift) of One Utama.

We played baseball, people!! I mean.. an almost real baseball with a bat, hat and flying balls been pitched to us by a fully automated batting machine system.

This was a really great experience for all of us, the first-timers! Imagine all the weird batting poses that we made that day. And, the cheers and laughters that we had after failing to hit most of the balls…ha..ha

It was FUN, FUN and FUN!!

Do you know that the automated machine system can delivers 15 balls per round at an eight seconds interval? And, the pitching speed can go up to 161km/hr. Much much faster than my old Chevy!!

There are three batting stages at It’s a Hit Batting Cages which are T-Ball (teeing off a stationary ball for beginners), soft tossing hitting (intermediate batters) and pitching machine (advanced batters).

Hey!! We’re actually been treated as advanced batters!! Advance La Dolce Momma!

I only managed to hit 2 balls out of 15… pretty bad for an ‘advance batter’. It’s a tough challenge to connect the ball with the bat. You need to position yourself and the bat properly. Else you’ll miss the balls!

Anyway, eventhough La Dolce Momma are first-timers treated as ‘advance batters’, Farah hit a Homerun!!

It’s a Homerun! Yeayyy!

We completed the task happily, get our passport stamped and ready for the next challenge.

2. DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge with QuickSilver

After the fun baseball batting, we walked leisurely to the next challenge at QuickSilver. It’s a fashion shop located on the First Floor (Highstreet) with lots and lots of trendy cloths and accessories. I almost stop and pick a really nice dress…ha..ha

Nah.. that’s not La Dolce Momma’s tagline. That’s Quicksilver.

Super Model You!

Nah.. that’s not La Dolce Momma’s tagline also. That was our challenge at QuickSilver which was to become Super Models!!

We got to choose some fashionable clothings and hats from a box. And, put it on within a few seconds!!

Hey! It was FUN, FUN and FUN trying all the trendy dresses and hats. Kind of funny also because I can fit into an S-sized dress but couldn’t take it out…ha..ha

So, what do you think? Can Super Moms become Super Models? You bet we absolutely can!!

We completed the task joyfully, get our passport stamped and ready for the next challenge.

3. DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge with Swatch

When we almost get to Swatch located at the Lower Ground Floor (Oval) of One Utama, I thought we may need to take pictures of us posing with some fancy Swatch timepieces.

Hola! I was wrong. It was Light Camera Action!

Okay, we were asked to make a 30 second video commercial for DiGi and Swatch. Hmmm… how we’re gonna blend the message of DiGi and Swatch at the same time? I mean, how to marry a broadband and a watch?

It’s a mission impossible eh? Not to us, La Dolce Momma!

We Surf Without Fear, so we can make a video commercial without fear as well…ha..ha..ha

We managed to complete the non-scripted video commercial, with two amateur actresses and two amateur film producers. Not bad you know.

So, done with the passport stamping and headed to our next challenge.

4. DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge with DiGi

It was easy finding the DiGi Specialised Store on the Lower Ground Floor of One Utama. It’s in Oval zone.

We were asked to work together as a team. Of course lah.. we’re La Dolce Momma okey!

We think this was a simple task. We need to login to www.digimusic.com.my and create a playlist named after our team. So, we have a La Dolce Momma playlist at DiGiMusic. Cool!

Then, add a song each from Lady Gaga and Akon. Woww!! There are a lots of music on DiGiMusic that you can download at a very small fee.

If you’re really crazy about music, DiGiMusic is definitely for you!!

DiGi is the Only Broadband that really ROCKS with unlimited song download. Unlimited okey!

Once o’clock, Two o’clock, Three ‘clock. ROCK!

We completed the DiGi task, get our passport stamped and ready for the next challenge.

5. DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge with Nokia

Now, The Net Lives in Your Phone!!

This task is a brain-challenge kind of thing. It required us to become Einstein for a few minutes…ha..ha

We watched a DiGi Broadband commercial on a Nokia handphone. Do you know the DiGi commercial where people in a box house using internet stuff like Twitter (blue birds), YouTube (a robot TV), Facebook (on a shelf) and Yahoo (lamps) with a soothing song in the background?

Yes, that one lah!

After watching it, we need to solve a puzzle of numbers.

Hey, we cracked the puzzle within seconds using a Dictionary in Hand. I mean, not a book kind of dictionary. It’s a function in a handphone. Super moms are genius you see…ha..ha

The answer was Broadband Done Right!!

After stamping our passport, we run to the next challenge.

6. DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge with Rainforest – Bulls Eye

When I read Bulls Eye on the challenge sheet, I thought we will be asked to do some archery and become a Robin Hood.

But, I was wrong. No Robin Hood kind of thing.

We’re asked to do ‘sumpitan’ instead. Well, you know the ‘sumpit’ that the aborigines use for hunting? Yes, that ‘sumpit’ lah…ha..ha..ha

Sumpit is a native blowpipe which is a primitive kind of weapon-spear dart. So, our task was to shoot with a blowpipe.

It was hard using the air from my lung to blow the dart using the blowpipe. I didn’t hit the bulleye. In fact none of my three darts hit the target…ha..ha..

Anyway, we think it was a really good and FUN experience!! We wanna try blowpiping again!!

We got our passport stamped and went to Celebrity Fitness to run.

7. DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge with Celebrity Fitness

Actually, Celebrity Fitness was the first location that we went. But, since the task was to RUN 800 meters on a treadmill, we decided to do it last.

Because, I’m sure all of us will be extremely exhausted after the run. It was 800 meters okey! Our likely average speed is not as fast a DiGi!

Well, true enough… we were breathing heavily after finishing the running task…That reminded me to do regular exercises…ha..ha

So, stamping done on the passport and hey… we’re done!!

8. DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge with Mardi Gras

So You Think You Can Dance? Latin? Hip-Hop? Nahh, it was a Pole Dance!

Ooops! We didn’t complete this dancing challenge. Because the place only opened from 4.15 – 5.30pm. Since, it’s already past 5.30pm when we finished our sixth challenge, so we just ignore this one. And, proceed to the threadmill.

Anyway, can’t imagine us doing the Pole Dance in Mardi Gras…ha..ha..ha

After finished with Celebrity Fitness, we headed back to Mardi Gras and uploaded our pictures and video to Facebook. Dinner was served and the party started!

We really had a great time during the DiGi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge. It was FUN, FUN and FUN all the way from the beginning until the end!

What we learned most was that teamwork and good strategies are very important to complete any task successfully.

We were wise to do the most energy draining task (800 meters run) last. Else, we wouldn’t have that much energy to focus on other easier tasks.
