what you did what you saw, sound, sights and marvels
i love travel-blogs, they help me decide
which airline, which hotel, the selection is wide
so you holidaying-bloggers out there, do write and share
when you go on your holiday, how did it fare?
the facts and figures, sights and sounds
these are the things that should be found
in your blog when you write about your getaway
to help future travellers choose where to stay
begin with home, the day that you pack
the clothes, the neccessities, biscuits and snacks
swimming trunks, snow gloves or flip flops with bells
list out the ‘must-not-forget’ and ‘the must-bring’ as well
to catch the flight, to the airport you went
describe to your readers the airline you ‘rent’
the crowd, the cabin-crew, the seats and the food
blog on your opinions; what’s bad, and what’s good
london, langkawi, hawaii or hongkong
remember to bring a notebook along
jot down your thoughts, your feelings and views
to share with your readers a lot or a few
the hotel is small, but quaint and comfy
or big and crowded, or classy but noisy
it’s close to many shops, but far from the beach
or up on a mountain, with only one shop within reach
your description is important, so do it nice
also share whether it’s worth the price
what you see or feel, use these words to tell
to help future travellers to choose a hotel well
the room has a decor, curtains and furniture
describe to the readers its plus points or other
spacious, big bathroom, or dangerous balcony
beauty or beastly, any disappointment, if any
open the window, or stand by your balcony
a picture-perfect sight, what do you see?
a view of the mountains, the sea or the city
describe in your words detailed to a T
a hungry traveller needs to find food
i’m sure you try whatever is good
share your reviews of the eating places
don’t forget to add in pictures!
local food is best to be tried
boiled, baked, grilled or fried
something new is always interesting
fried grasshopper or coca-cola chicken wings!
during vacation, sight-seeing is a must
you go to many tourist-locations, i trust
research for info, google the facts
share what you find, what to avoid, and what attracts
while going sight-seeing, here and there
how did you move about, please do share
did you go on a tourist ride or rent a car
went on a walkabout to near or far
mention whether there’s an entrance fee
clean toilets, nice surau, cafes or baby-friendly
different people have different needs about
but your blog will certainly help them find out
before going back, you can find some stuff
a token of rememberance for friends, families and office-staff
souvenirs like postcards, fridge magnets or key-chains
no matter no care something grand or something plain
do not forget to blog about that
where to find the cheapest souvenir you had
best place to bargain, great spot to shop
where to get to a mall or market where the stuff is tip-top
colors and sights fill your vacation
pictures are important to illustrate your location
don’t put them all, just choose which is best
you can write a little and let your pictures do the rest!
To those going on vacation, enjoy your days but don’t forget to take note of what’s hot, and what’s not. You don’t have to write about every single thing on your trip – just the ones you find too interesting or too appalling not to share – you never know who you might be helping with your blog postings!
