How to Change Your Avatar to Gravatar

MomBloggersPlanet is using Gravatar, a globally recognised Avatar for comment and user profile.

So, if you would like to see your own picture appears beside your name (instead of the standard G or monster icon) when you do things like comment on MomBloggersPlanet or any blogs that using Gravatar as well, you need to get your own Gravatar.

It’s easy. All you need is your email address.

Step 1

Please signup at Gravatar using the email address you use to register at MomBloggersPlanet.

Step 2

You will get a confirmation email including a link that will activate your account and allow you to set your password.

To activate your account, simply click on the link in the activation email or paste into the url field on your favorite browser.

Step 3

Choose your Gravatar username, using only lowercase letters and numbers. Then, choose a password.

Step 4

Choose an image to use with your email address. You can upload any size image file from your hard drive.

Step 5

You can crop the image either to show full face or partial.

Step 6

Choose a rating for your Gravatar.

G rated gravatar is suitable for display on all websites with any audience type.
PG rated gravatars may contain rude gestures, provocatively dressed individuals, the lesser swear words, or mild violence.
R rated gravatars may contain such things as harsh profanity, intense violence, nudity, or hard drug use.
X rated gravatars may contain hardcore sexual imagery or extremely disturbing violence

Usually, we choose ‘G’ rated gravatar unless your blog contain otherwise.

Step 7

Now your email address already has a globally recognised Gravatar. So, whenever your comment on MomBloggersPlanet or any wordpress blog using the email address, you will see your selected picture. This adds more credibility to a comment and build good relationship with other bloggers.
