Why You Blog Is Real Property (or can I call it a house)?
- Your blog has address (URL/domain) —> same like your house, it got an address.
- Your blog has location (hosting) —> you need a land to build a house.
- Your blog has structure —> it is not a house without walls, door, windows, etc.
- Your blog has template —> your house must have living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining hall, etc.
- Your blog has its header/welcome message —> you have a gate or main door for your house
- Your blog has visitors —> you allow visitors to your house too!
- You can make money from blog —> here is where you blog is called a property. as you can make money by renting/selling your house, you can do it on you blogs too!
What Makes Your Blog A Good Property?
Where do you live/stay? How do you see your neighbourhood? Is it attractive? Or dull? Are you happy living/staying there? Or you just feel like moving out anytime?
Same goes to your blog. If your blog is attractive, it will be more or less like a big city, where many people come in and out, and keep on coming. When property talk about location that makes the land price move up dramatically, bloggers talk about traffic and niche, where you can attract readers to your blog, either from backlinks, direct or search engine.
Take this for example, comparing Kuala Lumpur and Ulu Banat, which one you feel like want to spend time (and money) everyday? -except if your house is at Ulu Banat lah-. Or, where is the place where the traffic jam is almost happen everysecond? What do you think Kuala Lumpur has more than Ulu Banat?
How much a condo cost next to KLCC? You can talk about it if you afford to own RM5 millions property and above. But, how if you want to sell the same structure located at Ulu Banat for RM 5 millions? People would say you are crazy.
So that’s a good blog, it has value that makes advertisers willing to pay at any amount. A not-so-good or soon-to-be-good blog, you still have time to improve and attract more visitors and more advertisers
How to be A Good Blog Estate Investor?
First, don’t blog for money. If you just blog for money you will lost excitement in blogging. Blog because you are, and you’re happy with it. So even if you have no money comes in, you still have motivation to update your blog, promote it, etc.
Don’t start to monetize your blog too soon, build a good reputation first. Before you buy a house (for investment) you might want to be sure about the location, right? You won’t buy any house for the sake of buying and hoping it price will go up. Same goes to blogging. Build a good blog estate, with many visitors, traffic-attracting, before you go serious about monetizing.
Do you think any advertiser will attract to a blog with 5 blog posts but charging some bucks for advertising fee?

Totally agree with u mommylina…but like properties, we already know its location and its value..For blogs, they will be judged by the visitors, advertisers and others…tak boleh syok sendiri kata blog kita hot kan??
