The Beauty of Life – I’m here to share my two cents.. a thought as a Mother of 4, as a Wife to someone who has deep passion for Network Security, an easy-going friend, my passion, vision and mission… that’s the tagline that first I read upon hopping to lOvelyelle blog. The tagline fill in a very simple square header.
The owner used a Blogger Template Minima style by Douglas Bowman, and a background by TheCutestBlogOnTheBlock.com.
The blog layout is a 2-columned with one sidebar located on the right side. On the sidebar, there are webstats counter, follower widget, some banners, information about the owner, nuffnang ads, links to other blogs and online shops, and some blog awards.
There are many pretty backgrounds available on TheCutestBlogOnTheBlog website, and the owner choosed a black background with a light white text.
Well, there is nothing wrong of using a black background, if it’s your taste that is. But, I found it hard to read without really straining my eyes. Frankly, I avoid any reading on pages with light text on a dark background, especially if there are so many colors being used on the text.
Content wise, the owner is not updating her blog regularly. The owner writes about her kids, shopping and anything that relates to her life. All blog posts are accompanied by relevant pictures, and this is a good point for a blog.
I’m giving this blog 2 star rating out of 5. This blog get below average for content, activity and appearance. Whereas, both uniqueness and navigation score averagre.

Here’s a suggestion of thing that I think the ownner could do.
- If the owner’s purpose of blogging is to get new friends who keep on coming to read her blog, it’s wise to change the background to white or soft pastel colors, with black text. It’s true that some people don’t mind reading a blog with black background, but most people don’t.
- Comment to include “Anyone – includes Anonymous User’“. You see, I always found it annoying whenever I finished typing a comment then only realized the blog only accept comment from Google account or Open ID. If the owner select “Anyone – includes Anonymous User’“, this means anyone without a blog also can make a comment. And, anyone with own blog domain like myself would feel very welcome to leave a comment too.
- Navigation could be improve by adding an Archive in a ‘dropdown’ style and to move the Label further up, possible to the top of the sidebar. Both help the readers to find their way in the blog such as finding older posts etc.
- Try not to use so many font colors in the content. Colourful text may look pretty but it could strain the eyes of the readers.

suealeen, there’s a good thing to include ‘anyone, including anon’ to comment bcoz boleh tambah new friends yg takde blog, tak yah login semata2 nak komen, anyone with own domain can simply enter the url… lagipun if tak suka ‘anon’ komen, you can filter by not approving the comment.

seriously , sy pernah menyukai layout hitam n that happened on my friendster page lahh.. hiihiii but 4 my blog, i rather used lighter color scheme especially pastel colors 4 easy viewing n reading …

since I’m blogwalking to > 200 blog per mth.. so yg bckground hitam & sakit mata nak baca, i rarely singgah lama & jrg2 juga singgah..
