A huge picture of the owner, her husband and child is the first thing that I saw upon checking Mummysya blog for this review. And, that’s the only thing that the owner use as the header.

The owner used a Blogger Template by Pyzam. The blog layout is a 2-columned with one sidebar on the right. On the sidebar, there are some information about the owner, facebook badge, some banners, family pictures, follower widget, birthday ticker, web stats, happy-o-meter, nuffnang ads, a poll, blog archive, a shoutbox, follower widget, links to favorite blogs and online shops and a wishlist.

The owner use white for the content background which is the best color for any blog or website. It’s a good idea to stick to white because it’s easy to the eye.

Content wise, the owner is doing good for activity by keeping regular posting. The owner writes mostly about her baby, family, personal life, friends, contest and other stuff. All blog posts are also accompanied by relevant pictures, and more than one in most cases which adds to the interest and appeal of the blog.

I’m giving this blog 3 star rating out of 5. This blog gets above average for content and uniqueness. Whereas, activity, appearance and navigation scores below average.

Here’s a suggestion of thing that I think the ownner could do.

• The owner could consider creating a new header. The current one is rather big. Perhaps, she could use a few family pictures in a collage style for the header. And, consider using a tagline that best describe the blog in a short sentence.
• The owner could consider using a 3-column template with 2 sidebars for a neat-looking blog.
• Navigation could be improve by adding an Archive in a ‘dropdown’ style. And, to add a Label/Category widget. Both help the readers to find their way in the blog such as finding older posts etc.
• Comment to include “Anyone – includes Anonymous User’”. This will allows anyone without a blog to make a comment. And, anyone with own blog domain like myself would feel very welcome to leave a comment too as I can leave my blog URL directly instead of having to login to Google account or Open ID for that purpose.
• To improve the content and uniqueness, the owner could consider adding more useful contents on subjects that she knows best. And, update the blog on regular basis.
