I notice that in this month, everywhere and there, most blogger post an entry about getting Buffered Earning, including me!For some blogger , it is their first buffered earning, but to some, it’s their 20th , 30th or 50th!
A Buffered Earning or CPM ( Cost per Impression Ads-please pardon me if I’m wrong) means that the advertisers bought some space in your blog for their ads/ product campaigns and their paying you based on unique impression (i.e visitors) that come to your blog, eventhough they did not click your ads.
This means , the ads are different form CPC (Cost per Click) ads which require the visitor to click at the ads in order for you to get paid. So, when you get Buffered Earning, you’re getting paid by how many visitors/readers that come to your blog!
Nice, isn’t it?Oh ya, the Buffered Earning usually have some period for the ads/campaign to be displayed, maybe in 1 week to 2 months time (based on my experience) and will be converted to Metered Earning when the campaign ended.
As for me, my first Buffered Earning is on August 2009, but then it stopped until recently, I get it again. I’m not sure why there was a long halt, but I think it was because of these factors:
I do not update my blog regularly 
It is all about traffics, baybeh!!You need to blog regularly per day to increase traffic. Nuffnang would detect this by your analytics, you know. Although some say you must update 3 entries per day, I found this is not necessary.
You must at least post an entry per day, but if you are posting up to 2 or 3 entries per day, that would be a bonus!(But personally I just like to post 1 entry per day, however I occasionally post 2 or 3 entries if needed – entering contest, updating product ,important announcement etc.)
I do not update my Nuffnang survey 
I used to always neglect this one, but do you know that the survey update are very crucial for advertisers to choose your blog to place their ads? The advertisers at Nuffnang need to see whether your profile fit to their products and are your blog worth to be chosen.
They want to know your age, gender, occupation, blog category , your blog readers profile and ads you would like to be displayed.I found it that , please do not mixed your interest or category in the survey because the advertiser will find it confusing whether to choose you or not.
For example:
If your blog is about parenthood, babies and cooking, then your blog category is parenting, personal and food.
If your blog is about movies you see, songs you like and fashions you adore, than your blog category is entertainment and fashion.
If your blog is about high ends gadgets , computers, Ipods , PDAs, DSLR cameras or photography, then your blog category is technology or photography.
If you blog about venturing into sightseeing here and there, then your blog category is travel .
However, all of above are my suggestion only..only YOU, yes, you, the blogger itself know how to categorised your blog.
How to update the survey?
At your Nuffnang account dashboard go to Edit Survey > Type in The Answers Needed By the Survey > Submit
Or
Go to Blog Manager > Select Blog name > Select Edit Survey > Edit your survey > Submit
I seldom comment other blogs
This is another crucial factor to increase traffic to your blog. Blogwalking is very important , and even if you have nothing to say, don’t be a silent reader! You may write a comment as simple as “ Hi, how are you?”or “nice clothes you wear in the picture” to let the blogger notice you’re dropping by.
But some blogger like some “ added value” , “unforgettable” and ” memorable” comment which means you’re writing a comment heartily after reading their entries, understanding their feelings, willing to share opinions etc.
As for me, I prefer people dropping by my comment form rather than my chatbox because in the comment forms, the comments stayed there. Unlike in the chatbox, the comments will be at the next page when people posted new comment, and I will have to click previous entry to read it, got what I mean?
Eventhough you don’t have time or to busy to blogwalk, what you can do is:
-Try spend a little time at least to do some blogwalking to those who have done the effort to comment in your blog,
-Track(or stalk? hehe) your silent readers by the traffic widgets/Nuffnang referral system and comment in their blog, or
- Write a reply in your own comment form because sometimes, they will come back to read the reply from you.

Enough said for this time, that are some simple factors to be ponder on. I’ve tried improving all of the factors above and it does rewards me with me getting about 25 Buffered Earning (18 Buffered Earning when I was writing this entry) for the time being. It does bring a smile when I check my Nuffnang account
