Bismillah,
Imagine this… you have 4 kids 6-2 years old. They still don’t understand what is tidy and what is mess. They like to play around with things in the house. Plus, if their mother take a nap, they will throw everything upside down. Suddenly, their mother get a phone call and somebody is coming in less than 1 hour. When their mother look around, she found that her beautiful house turn to ‘tongkang karam’ or even worse. Then……………yeah!! The Tarzan voice will take place LOL!!!
Hihi….that is a part of my life drama. But still, I love to have guest. I love when they come and visit me, it is like there is still somebody remember me. Most of the time, I will tell my kids that is somebody will come and they know what to do. They will start with the floor. Everything on the floor need to be picked up.
Tidy up the house in 3 minutes is actually not real to me unlesss the mess is not too much. I need at least 30 minutes if I am alone. But if my anakanda is around, they will be my victim.
- Start with the messiest place – look around and identify the area that need the most attention to be tidied up. Tackle them first. Just in case our guests arrive early, the messiest place is spotless. And yeah…don’t forget to tidy up the entrance so that our house looks clean and welcoming too.
- Remove All Clutter – I love to use a big box and then got through all the rooms. Then I’ll take everything that do not belong to that room. Put them all in but don’t waste time putting them back in place.
- Change What Needs Changing – sheets, tableclothes, cushion covers, towels that may be dirty should be replace with fresh linen. Replace old newspapers with magazines. If you have fresh flowers, simply fill vases with it
- Do a quick check – after all, take a quick tour and do the last touch up especially the dusty surfaces that may be visible and run a quick cloth over them.
Well, this is not a real protocol. You are the one who knows your house better. I always come to my husband’s relative and I found most of their living house is covered with curtain so that we can’t see another room from there. This maybe practical if our guest come just to say hi but if your mother in law is coming, we still have to clean all the space.

i baru cerita kemas rumah. Sometime rasa give up juga, yela kalau orang kerja balik dah malam , mana nak kemas, nak masak , jaga anak , gosok baju and etc. So i think we should make schedule to clean up the house. Nak jadi supermom tapi belum sampai that level lagi . Kalau guest datang , kelam kabut kami satu family. Masa tu pertolongan hubby sangat diperlukan

helpful tips, siti! alhmdulillah my boy khaleef mmg dah train simpan balik toys/books lepas main n even letak pinggan mangkuk dlm sink lepas makan. but baby kahfi still terer buat semak!

i_sofia, dgn khaleef dulu before 2yrs old i dah started with his shoes first, sbb just 1 item and bukak trus letak ats shoe rack. senang budak2 nk ikut & buat. psl dulu masa i fulltime workin, i sent him to nursery so tiap2 hari kena pakai kasut bukak kasut.
then i made him familiar with the instruction, “khaleef, put back.” so lepas dah terer ‘put back’ kasut dia, i expand to toys, books and plates. sume pun “pls put back” so lama2 dia paham instructions tu & always practice

anak 3 lelaki..so pepaham la kelasakan dan keganasan di rumah..
habis sepah brg…
sumi akan mengemas seminggu sekali..kejam kan??hahahah
nak mop??lagi la..tunggu mood dtg br mop..hahahaha lagi kejam..
maka..kekadang sumi biarkan husband yg kemas..sbb sumi leh goyang kaki..lagi kejam..hahaha

sumi, oh kejamnya!! sama kejam dengan i.. ha..ha!
walaupun anak dara sorang tapi kelasakan tak terkata.. dah kemas semua mainan masuk bakul, tak sampai 30 saat dia angkat bakul dan selerakkan semua sekali.. all over the place + dengan muka yang sungguh tidak bersalah
so.. haku buat dek aje la.. rumahku syurga mainan

balik keje dah malam…anak lak manja tahap gaban…
nak berkepit ajeeeeeee…nak masak pun x leh..jawabnye makan beli siap aje…

saya… suami yg kemas seminggu sekali-sapu-mop adalah keja suami. hehehe… kalau dh teruk sangat barulah tgh2 minggu tu sy tolong2 kutip mainan yg bersepah tu masuk box.
ros, kita sama… baru anak sorang.. tp kalo tengok rumah saya, mcm anak 10 gitu… mainan sentiada bersepah di sana sini..
rumahku syurga mainan jugak… hohoohoh…

syigim, kebetulan, mmg tgh practise ngan kasut dia everyday balik nsery. so far, ada ari mood baik,dia follow la. mood kalut nk tgk tv, dia masuk terus je.
kejam x kalau 1 ari, keluarkan 1 je mainan anak? so, xde la sepah2.. hihi. or maybe nk kena practise mcm Ros la.. buat dek je..
