Ummi Hanie – Blog Review
Ekpresiku (dot com) – Ekspresi Diri Melalui Blog, that’s the tagline that greeted me when I hopped on to Ummi Hanie blog. The tagline is written on the blog’s header which also has some pictures of the owner and her family.
The owner uses a News from the Sky! template by Gisele Jaquenod with two sidebars and a middle content. On the left sidebar you will find contest, follower widget, some banners, shoutbox, blog archive and page ranks. Whereas, on the right sidebar, there are labels, links to her favorite blogs, recent comments and some lists.
The layout is a soft sky blue background with a black text for the content and blue/black text for the sidebars. Eventhough the background is blue stripe pattern, but the content use a white background – which is a good choice! Because it’s easier to read a black text on a white background than a black text on a blue background.
Content wise, it doesn’t seem to be updated on regular basis. The owner writes mostly about family and things surrounding her life, as well as on contest, family development, religious issues, parenting, product review, blogging and motivation. Most blog posts area accompanied by relevant pictures which add meaning to the contents.
This blog scores a 3 star rating out of 5. This blog get an average for content, uniqueness, activity and appearance. While navigation scores above average.

Here’s a suggestion of things that I think the ownner could do.
- I found that this blog takes some time to load on Internet Explorer but a bit faster on Google Chrome. Perhaps this is due to a number of bling-bling (glitter) being displayed on the blog.
- Maybe the owner could consider taking out some of the bling-bling, especially the one on top saying “welcome to my world”. It’s best to use the middle content space strictly for writing and putting some related pictures only.

i’m not in d position to give advice, tp creating a blog meaning kita akan ada reader dr luar.. so d best is biarlah blog kita tu user friendly…

Salam.. blog ummie hanie ni memang berat saiz dia – 238.03kb. tu sebab nak loading lambat.
Cuba check kat sini. Orang lain pun boleh check page sendiri juga. Nanti dia akan analyze secara terperinci berapa saiz html/gadget/widget/gambar/etc. Plus akan keluarlah dia punya cadangan sekali.
Juga boleh check kat sini untuk comparison loading time page kita dengan page orang lain.
